I came into the labour ward at half 5 after being in ward 8 for 25 hours being induced. I was met with a warm welcome from all the staff and they attended to all my needs. At 9pm the dayshift left and in came the nightshift. We were introduced to our midwife Katie she was so friendly and professional. She kept us right at every stage and we felt to safe and secure in her hands. Katie made us feel we were all one team and the 3 of us could get through anything. She was so hands on making us feel very relaxed and at 23. 22 our baby girl came into the world. Only 4 and half hour after waters being broken it was all over and done. Katie was still with us every step of the way helping me feed my baby and giving me all the support I could ask for. What an amazing midwife I hope in future if we have more children we can have katie deliver them.
