I was admitted to orwell ward as needed lots of care and pain relief due to headaches and abdominal pain from pregnancy. All the staff on orwell that were apart of my care were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble when getting doctors and registrars to see and review me when needed. I was then transferred to Deben ward which was a smooth and quick process and all staff were helpful in making sure I had all my belongings and that my husband knew where to meet us as he joined us during the transfer. The staff on deben ward were very supportive and kept us both informed and explained everything that was happening in relation to the decision to deliver early at 34 weeks via emergency csection. The theatre staff were amazing to, ensuring I felt relaxed throughout the whole process and explaining everything they were doing. Although the transfer and csection happened within an hour it never felt rushed or chaotic meaning I was able to stay calm. Everyone was supportive with my light sensitive headache, ensuring my safety was paramount when transferring between darkened rooms and brightly lit corridors. They were all amazing and my daughter made it into the world safely. The nature of the delivery could have been a negative experience if it werent for the friendly nature and professionalism of all staff involved. Thankyou Deben and Orwell for the care and support
