After going into outpatients A&E on New Years Day 2020 I was submitted to Heartlands Hospital from Good Hope Hospital because of a serious accelerating condition.
Diabetes had made the toes, particularly my big toe on my left leg go grey-black as the blood circulation had cut itself off to a very limited capacity. I faced losing either my foot, half my leg or indeed the whole right leg.
I received first-class (painless) treatment to rescue my leg, my foot and even my toes. In just 10 days my circulation had been practically resumed after infusion treatment via intravenous input other chemo-therapy and an andiagram. Countless injections of anti-coagulants and God knows what else to save my limb.
I was relaxed and comfortable the entire time and had great confidence in the surgeons, doctors and nurses, they were very exact and exceedingly thorough with every medical procedure and every medication that I received which was a lot. All the time, every time and on time every day I received the best medical attention I could ever possibly have imagined, this is a true testimony as it saved my leg, my foot and my toes. I am sincerely grateful to the skill, professionalism and teamwork of everyone involved at Heartlands Hospital.
