"Nasal polyps operation"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Ear, Nose & Throat / Audiology Woodend Hospital / Ear, nose, throat, head & neck surgery outpatients

(as a service user),

After many years of pain and discomfort of nasal polyps and acute perennial rhinitis, I would like to thank Mr Ram and his team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Not only did Mr Ram and his colleagues succeed in breaking my aspirin allergy, which was one of the links to my reoccurring problem, he gave me years of pain free relief from what was a debilitating situation.

Unfortunately my polyps did return and a further operation was required, a more detailed operation that was to last more than just a couple of hours.

I would like to sincerely thank everybody that was involved in my operation and my aftercare, from the fantastic anaesthetists to Mr Ram and his fellow surgeon to the nurses in my ward. The work you all do...every day, is really appreciated and I am very proud to have experienced the most first class NHS care.

The pioneering work undertaken by Mr Ram and his team has given me such a change in my quality of life and I remain very positive about the future because of all of the professional outstanding staff at ARI and in particular the team that looked after me so well during my stay in hospital.

Dear Brodgar,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback after your nasal polyp operation. I am so pleased this operation has been life changing for you after your many years of discomfort. I am delighted to hear your comments about your care and how it was first class. It will give me great pleasure to share this good news story with Mr Ram and his team including the nurses on the ward too. Wishing you continued good health in the future.

Kind Regards,

John
