"Keep up the good work"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as a service user),

I was admitted after traumatic event to the ward.

I was an inpatient for 2 days including a surgical procedure.

All the staff on the ward, in theatres and recovery, without exception, were excellent. They were caring and professional during my whole stay. I am a nurse so I am hard to please.

The only wee thing I would change was a more visible change of shift in the evening so you knew the night staff were now on duty and they had laid eyes on you, but that's just my preference.

Keep up the good work.

Dear Honeybunny,

Thank you for your recent feedback via Care Opinion following you admission to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

As a nurse, you will be aware that it is always heartening for our staff to receive positive feedback from our patients and I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for taking the time to contact us.

I note your comments regarding the evening shift change and can advise I have raised this with the local ward team to review. I have also shared your positive feedback with the Plastic Surgery team.

I trust you are making a good recovery following your hospital stay.

Yours sincerely,

John Stuart

Chief Nurse.
