"Being in hospital over Christmas"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Cardiology Lincoln County Hospital / Diabetic medicine

(as the patient),

I was a patient in Lincoln County hospital over Christmas and new year after passing out ad banging my head. I will point out that the nurses, food and cleaners there were fantastic.

I was in MAU first for Christmas day after being admitted on 19th December, then at which time I again passed out and then told I was going to the cardiac ward as I have a heart problem, ended up in the diabetic ward for a day and half, then taken to the cardiac ward to be told I was now an outlier and would be still seen by the diabetic ward Drs. This happened rarely and a different Dr each day. Had only 3 investigations and blood tests and again passed out on the ward.

Then told would be discharged with outpatient appts at neuro and cardiology. It took 7 hours for the discharge, with one extra tablet which may not work. Discharge was done by a Dr at the nurses station I had not even seen and information my GP would require not even on there, it said nothing about the neuro appt and said may be referred to cardiology, which I already had an appointment for, no sick note or fit note which I had asked for told the Drs had gone now.

My GP now has nothing to go on for my continued care as not told about hypos etc. This has ruined my Christmas and new year and as I live alone in a flat with 2 lots of stairs, no lift, and could possibly still pass out and fall down again and not get up, getting very depressed and money tight, nothing put on discharge to help me get a ground floor flat

I need to feel safer and nothing for the GP to go on so can't even get a GP letter. I feel let down by the whole system and will stay away even if I fall again.
