"Thank you"

The staff at the Aspen centre are an incredibly caring and attentive group of people. Whilst you’re in there it can feel claustrophobic and difficult when there aren’t many groups or therapy, but that’s because of shortage of staff - they try their best to still manage juggling everything!

I spent 4 years in and out of inpatient care there, and every time I was never made to feel a nuisance or given up on.

In fact, I can now say that I have been a full year free of inpatient treatment, and soon to be discharged from Outpatients after 7 years.

I am forever grateful to the Aspen Centre for the help and support they have given me over the years, I can never thank them enough for keeping me going, and saving my life when I had given up on it.

Special thank you to my Therapist, Consultant and the most amazing nurses.

I’m now off to Uni and loving having a ‘normal’ life, no longer dictated by my Eating Disorder.
