My husband and I are both disabled. We have 2 carers under the Direct Payment scheme, 1 man and 1 lady. The man is also the driver of our w/chair accessible vehicle. Because of the appointment at Scarborough Hospital with Neurologist for my husband, the lady carer has worked extra hours already and arranged a special day out for herself for the date of our appointment as she won't be needed. Now we have just had a letter changing the date of the appointment. This happens regularly regarding appointments even though my husband's illness is rare and terminal. Why do they keep putting appointments back?
