About: The Kings Family Practice

Since being taken over by DMC this surgery has declined rapidly, there appears to be 1 Doctor trying to cope, frustrated receptionists hearing complaint after complaint. The doctor can be rude and arrogant (probably due to stress), it is almost impossible to get an appointment unless you are lucky when you ring with everyone else at 8.00 am and after waiting 30mins there may be an emergency appointment, nothing else appears to be available so even non urgent appointments have to be as an emergency taking away the option to those who need it. There are insufficient appointments for the amount of patients. Admin has declined from efficient to inefficient including repeat prescriptions along with prescription errors, causing patient anxiety and stress, receptionists constantly saying with the Doctor but nothing seems to get done.

This was once a caring and well run practice but has declined as Doctors left and now appears to be declining further under the new owners.

I am really sorry to hear your experience with the practice were not up to standards expected. Our clinical workforce is new and we are using GPs from local GP agencies. We are currently recruiting and are hoping to get permanent clinical staff. Where it is possible we are booking the same GPs at the practice for patients continuity.

We recognise the issue with prescriptions and are working towards solutions.
