"I was encouraged to ask questions"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I went in today for a follow-up appointment after a previous colposcopy and then having had biopsies taken.

As at my previous appointment with Mr Flood, I found him to be both informative and reassuring.  All parts of my procedure and treatment were discussed and I was encouraged to ask questions, which I did, and they were answered fully in terms I understood.  (Sometimes you feel stupid asking things about your own body which you think you ought to know after having had it for 60+ years!)

Although the worry is still there in my head, I know that I am being given excellent care - so thank you Mr Flood.

Thank you too to both Ania and Jen for making me feel comfortable in an ungainly and “stripped bare” situation.  You made it all so much easier.

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on your experience in the colposcopy clinic. It is lovely to hear such positive feedback.

I am pleased to hear you were supported by friendly staff, had thorough explanations prior to and during the procedure, felt well informed, and as comfortable as you could be.

Our colposcopy services adhere to our the trust values which include being patient centred, having respect for others and striving for excellence. It is a pleasure to know when we get things right. We really do appreciate your comments, which will be shared with the team.
