"I find this unacceptable"

About: Newham General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I have been having shortness of breath on exertion with palpitations and extreme fatigue since a viral infection in early December. The SoB and fatigue got worse and was advised to attend A&E.

Doctor I saw was dismissive and discharged me even though my blood pressure was high when usually I’m in the normal range. I’m quite fit and my blood pressure when taken in hospital or the GP practice is 120 or lower over 80 or lower. Did not order a chest x-ray when I think they must know an ECG only rules out 80% of pericarditis cases etc.

I was also discharged with my canula still in my left arm - the nursing staff informed me this is a common occurrence at Newham A&E - I find this unacceptable.
