About: Pilgrim Hospital

My mother was admitted by ambulance on a crazy busy day. She is extremely old and was quite poorly. She had a raft of tests done, they couldn't have been more thorough. Throughout every member of staff including those drafted in from other hospitals was patient, caring respectful and best of all good at their job. Scans xrays and blood tests and results were done swiftly efficiently by kind people. There was a long wait for a bed in a corridor but this wasnt the staffs fault. Ambulances were waiting outside and it was rammed. There were constant checks on mums welfare and ours and somehow the staff maintained good humour. I'd particularly like to praise the doctor, he explained everything and involved my mother despite her extreme deafness. The HCAs also need commending on a great "can do" attitude. One of them seemed to be constantly moving beds for 13hrs! Thanks to the whole great team
