"Lack of empathy or support"

I was referred to physio by the doctor and the staff member I felt was blunt, un-supportive and quite hurtful considering the amount of pain I was in and  my poor mental health. Despite my sobbing with the pain, I was told basically that my issues were because I was overweight and that they couldn’t do anything so would refer me back to the doctor! 

I was left feeling so lonely, hurt both physically and mentally and totally helpless.
