"Visit to same day medical assessment department"

Dear Sir or Madam

Because of my wife’s ill health we are in the same day medical assessment unit again today for the third time this year. I feel it is necessary to say how impressed we have both felt about this department. We have visited a number of departments and wards in this hospital but can honestly say this department set the bar. It has been the same excellent standard each time we visit. All of the staff and doctors have been kind sympathetic and professional. Many thanks

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us and please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you on here. I was so pleased to read that despite having to visit the Same Day Medical Admission Unit again, that you were impressed with the excellent standard of care your wife received.

My name is Jane and I am the Clinical Matron for the Same Day Medical Assessment unit (SDMA).

Thank you for your very kind words relating to my department. I am sorry that you have had the misfortune to visit SDMA three times this year, but am delighted that on every occasion we were able to give you a high standard of care and treatment. We aim to make the patient experience as safe and pleasurable as possible and am glad that we seem to be achieving this.

I will ensure my team are aware of your feedback and we will endeavour to ensure we maintain a professional and compassionate service.

I hope your wife is well on the way to recovery.
