"Ensured my comfort and dignity"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Acute Assessment Unit (AAU)

(as the patient),

I went to the Acute Assessment Unit, Glasgow Royal Infirmary in excruciating pain after being referred from minor Injuries at Stobhill.

I was struggling to walk and felt panicked at the level of pain I was experiencing. The staff showed compassion and care towards me. They reassured me but at the same time acted skillfully in getting me the appropriate treatment and investigations. They prioritised pain control and ensured my comfort and dignity.
