"Hospital stay"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / General surgery Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had to have my leg amputated at Treliske in Cornwall. I had the operation and ended up on the Wheal Coates ward. I had a side room. At no point did I feel excluded. I received brilliant care and the HCA’s and sisters and nurses were fantastic with their care. Anything I asked for from pain relief to water jug I had without fuss even at night. I couldn’t ask for any better care. So many care givers. I’d love to thank them all. Gemma, Jade, Anna, Gywithian, Kelly, Gabby and many others I can’t name them all.

Dear Pard,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you. I was so pleased to read that you had a positive experience and that despite being in a side room on Wheal Coates you did not feel excluded.

Although I am writing to you from the Patient Experience team at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, I will ensure your kind words and thanks are passed on to all those involved in your care - I'm sure they will be very happy to receive it.

Best wishes,

Ellie
