"The sort of Doctor everyone will want to have"

About: Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

Last week, I was very worried regarding my mother’s health and was very fortunate to be able to talk to an F1 called Cameron ( it was his first day on the Surgical Ward)

I cannot say enough good things about Cameron. He listened, had empathy, wrote down my concerns and was very caring and considerate and treated my mum with the care I believe he would have shown his own mother. He said if there was something he couldn’t answer he would  do his best to find out as much as he could for me. He then came back to us as promised later that morning and reassured us and put my mind at rest regarding her care. I cannot thank him enough for being there and being such a lovely person which was just what we all needed. He is going to be the sort of Doctor everyone will want to have, thank you Cameron so much and good luck with the rest of your career (although I don’t think for one minute you need it).

Dear CDlg

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about Cameron, I will do my best to locate him and pass on your grateful thanks. It is always rewarding to read about patient and family experiences, especially when the hospital is so busy.

I hope your mother is doing well.

Regards

Debbie Martin
