I phoned an ambulance for my 18 month son last week the operator was very helpful and friendly and so was the 2 paramedics that turned up they were fast at checking my son thoroughly and requested us to go to the hospital as he had a high temperature and wheeze they was also amazing with my other 2 children answering all there questions.
The ambulance ride was good too they had the lights dimmed to help my son remain calm got to children’s a and e which was a little busy but we had exceptional care being monitored by nurses and doctors and then transferring us to the children’s ward where we spent the next 2 nights with wonderful and dedicated staff.
The food was good with how much the child could have only downside is any food or drinks for parents has to be consumed in the parents room which is hard as my son struggled to settle and only had myself there to watch him so had to take my chance when I could.
The play workers were good too my baby was on oxygen but the play worker checked if I wanted to go get some toys for my son to play in the cot and then did painting on the last day once he started to get better which has pride of place on our Christmas tree.
All staff were amazing well done to everyone in the nhs your work hasn’t gone unnoticed, to me you are all an inspiration.
