This surgery I feel is building back up. From what I can gather listening to other patients is they are back on track.
I have always been treated well by staff, especially the front desk. Yes it can be frustrating not always being able to get an apt to see your choice of doctor or at a time that suits me, but if i am in pain or have an infection any doctor will do. If it is a more long term thing like my mum needs then we book in advance. I have read in social media about other surgeries and how dragon like the front staff are! They have a really hard and I imagine emotional job to do. I am sat in the waiting room listening to patients coming in. Some are very happy, some sad as lost loved ones. I have just seen a member of staff hold the hand of a patient comforting them. I don’t know why but how compassionate. I have also witnessed from the waiting room a member of the public threatening and swearing. Why should they accept that. I don’t think they get enough recognition as they get all the grief for delivering what the doctor has told them to do! If us as joe public used the doctor properly instead of for a cold people who really need an appointment would get one. I will add when my mum was ill and they had no appointments the staff asked the doctor to ring her which was great and she got some medicine for her infection. I don’t think many surgeries are any different. There are not enough doctors to go around but that is not the staffs fault. I will continue to support my surgery as we are so lucky to have the nhs. This surgery is trying their very best. I can see that. Keep it up guys.
