"Absolutely shameful treatment of Cluster..."

About: Minster Medical Centre

I have unfortunately had to use the surgery a lot recently and have only been following advice from OUCH UK and my private Consultant Neurologist regarding seeking consultations with my GP.

My condition is extremely intense causing immense unbearable pain that if left untreated can incapacitate me completely and require hospital visits, that said today after a phone consultation I was spoken over and told by a Doctor at this surgery "do you want me to spell it out in plain English?" and shouted at throughout the "consultation" simply because my Neurologist neglected to put in a letter to the surgery specific quantities of my medication for the GP to prescribe. That is not at all my fault, nor am I remotely to be held responsible for my Neyrologists actions, and secondly my Neurologist even quoted NICE guideline CG150 which according to my Neurologist should have been sufficient in conjunction with my previous/recent requirement of this medication (as detailed in aforementioned guideline.)

Most reception staff are nice and understanding of me particularly when I am experiencing an attack and have gone above and beyond in the event of an attack but others are less understanding of the effect this pain can have on an individual, but it is likened by female sufferers to being like childbirth 8 times per day. Consider that prior to making any further judgement and I recommend reception staff and certain Doctors undergo training in Cephalalgias and Neuralgias, and subsequently not withhold prescribed medication from a Consultant due to cost financially and chronologically, I am an NHS patient and regardless of what some reception staff have said I am entitled to treatment as much as anyone else, if you have "seen me every day this week" I apologise however I also have better things to be doing as opposed to arguing and fighting with this practice over the provison of patient centred care and the medication that I need and deserve to have a reasonable quality of life. What ever happened to the 6 C's? You may not be "medically trained" but I am and I will not be treated this way, this surgery is a complete deviation of the NHS's core values and principles. I look forward to making my complaint formal and I will be forwarding my comments to the CCG regarding my prescription issues.
