"Total incompetence"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I went to A&E with severe abdominal pain. After 5 hours of waiting they said I needed a renal scan but I should have come earlier as they do it in the evening, go home and we'll call you for a scan. Two months - nothing. I'm still in pain. I go back to A&E and ask when are they going to do the scan. The plead ignorance, they claim I was never there. They do a scan and tell me I have a kidney stone but they're not going to do anything because it's not the cause of my pain. Go home and we'll call you for a urology appointment. A month goes by. Nothing. I call. Sorry, we forgot. We'll send you a letter. Another month,. I get a letter. I arrive for the appointment. They deny that I have an appointment despite me having the letter in my hand! Go home and we'll call you. Another month. They tell me I have a kidney stone (yes I know) and it needs to be treated with shockwaves. Go home and we'll send you an appointment. Two more months. Nothing. A very long email chain now exists between me, A&E, PALS, my GP and my lawyer. Oh, and did I mention... I AM IN PAIN!

I have been in a lot of hospitals in a lot of country and nowhere in this or any other country have I encountered such incompetence and neglect. On a scale of 1 to 10 it doesn't even get a zero because it's nowhere near as good as that.
