"Misdiagnosis"

About: Reading Walk-in Health Centre

I visited with painful spots on my head and informed the doctor that I had a painful scalp. My head and scalp had been painful for a week and then my head and glands had swollen up, after they had gone down some nasty looking spots had appeared on my scalp. The doctor told me that he thought I had Actinic Keratosis and should see my own doctor and perhaps a skin specialist. When I visited my doctor he told me that I had shingles of the scalp and prescribed me the appropriate medicine. I must admit I was doubtful about the original prognosis as I had informed the doctor my scalp had been painful for about 10 days and then the rash had suddenly appeared.
