When I was diagnosed 6 months ago with Bladder Cancer . I was extremely upset angry vulnerable and scared.
Then along the journey I was treated with kindness compassion professionalism .
Whether it was in the out patient clinics or on the wards every member of staff were fabulous nothing was too much trouble everyone took the time to explain all treatments in detail and allowed me the time ask any questions. Staff all seemed to understand just how I was feeling and when I needed a little cry they held my hand and understood that it was necessary. I have attended several different hospitals and not all areas are brand new and have all modern equipment but it did not seem to matter staff all seemed happy at work and that showed in their attitude to patients. I am a health professional myself so I suppose I would be more critical but found nothing to be critical about. I witnessed first had staff dealing with difficult demanding patients with a caring and understanding manner. So very proud of our NHS.
"Great treatment and fabulous staff"
