"Nobody gave me any answers"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

Late last year, I went for a dating scan at the Princess Alexandra, and was informed rather coldly that it was twins - one had no heartbeat and one was not growing. But my issue is not with the care received leading up to the evac process, it is the total lack of aftercare.

I was absolutely devastated and anxious to find out if this was something that was likely to happen again, I was promised that anything 'aborted 'would go to histology and therefore could at least somehow try to understand this situation. For the next 3 months, I called EPU who said try pathology who then patched me through to someone else. Nobody gave me any answers or ever got me through to the correct department to help, basically it seems denying all knowledge that my twins ever existed and denying me the answers I need to move forward. A year later, I still have not conceived and am wondering now if there was an underlying issue that they should have informed me of.
