"I can't thank them enough."

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Dental

(as a parent/guardian),

my daughter had an appointment to have her teeth removed which meant spending time on the day surgery unit before and after the procedure. At her pre assessment app I informed them of her autism and how she would struggle to understand what will be happening and may not cope with lots of noise and others around and near her. The staff helped provide a room for my daughter for herself and were just so lovely and helpful. Tracey was one of the ladies who we seen and she was amazing with my girl. She spoke to her and let her know every step that she was doing/about to do. Although my daughters understanding is limited it was great that she was informed from the beginning. The staff were all on hand to help and answer any of my questions and made this horrible and scary experience much more relaxed for us both. I can’t thank them enough.

Mum of Ty n Nya,

Thank you very much for your response to your experience within RHC. I am happy to hear that you and your daughter had a positive experience whilst attending RHC and that from the start of her journey it was one of understanding and communication. I will feedback to the staff on your positive experience that you and your daughter received whilst in their care and I am sure they will be delighted.

Kind Regards
