"Two Golden Retriever Loving Paramedics"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I had been unwell for a few days but one day last week I experienced an episode of increasing shortness of breath. I was assessed over the phone by a nurse based in Ambulance Control who after hearing me escalated my triage category to more urgent. In hind sight my clinical state may have deteriorated before help arrived if she had not done this. Two paramedics based at Biggar Ambulance Station attended (Helen & Nicki). They were calm, polite and worked together as an expert and professional team throughout. Explaining everything from the moment they arrived until my care was taken over by the Emergency Department.   Thank you so much to the Ambulance Control Nurse and the Two Golden Retriever Loving Paramedics from Biggar Station.

Dear Odd Pyjamas

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read that you required the use of our services. I do hope that you are feeling better and on the road to a full recovery. Having difficulty in breathing is a scary position to be in and it is great to hear that this was identified and the care you received was as expected. I will pass on your kind words to the local management team.

Kind Regards and Thanks Again

Alan
