About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

The title says it all. After a long wait the attention we received was first rate in the Opthamology dept.

The Pharmacy however, was a farce. 45 minutes queue to be given a number. 2 hours 15 minutes in the other queue waiting for the eye drops, only to be told (when our number eventually came up), that they didnt have any. There were very sick patients and people with Oxygen masks waiting for hours. Totally unacceptable.

Thank you for providing feedback about your experiences in the Ophthalmology Department and Outpatient Pharmacy. I am pleased to hear that you received good treatment in Ophthalmology, despite the wait. However, I am sorry to learn about your experience at the pharmacy. I have passed your feedback to senior pharmacy staff for their attention, but if you would like us to investigate the specific circumstances relating to the dispensing of your prescription and respond to you personally, please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01223 216756 or email pals@addenbrookes.nhs.uk so that we can obtain some further details from you.

Once again, I am sorry about the delays.

Head of Patient Experience
