Every time I've used 111 I've been disappointed and on this occasion I was left frightened,  unsure what to do and very unhappy.  I called to ask for advice on effects of medication I'd taken and was told someone would call me in a couple of hours.  This was 10pm. By midnight no one had called,  the advice on the medication was to seek urgent medical advice so I called again at 1am. The automated system told me the service was very busy and to expect substantial delays and hang up if it wasn't urgent!  I hung on and the call was answered almost immediately by someone who told me they had tried calling me but my phone wasn't working.... The phone I was speaking to them on.  He said they were very quiet (having just had the opposite message from the phone line) and someone would call me back quickly.  2 hours later a nurse rang and said everything would ' probably be OK ' but if I was worried I should go to hospital.  5 hours after I'd asked for help and that was the best they had.
