Arriving at A&E with my 5 year old son (diagnosed with Autism ) could have been a stressful and anxious time, however we were very quickly seen to by friendly and efficient reception staff . After me explaining my son's condition we were taken to a private room as my so gets overwhelmed in the open waiting area.
We were quickly attended to and advised he required surgery for a lip laceration. The doctors and nurses in A&E were very caring and attentive and patient and really helped me in a tense situation.
We arrived at day surgery the following day and although we had a long wait, understandable, we were very well informed and looked after.
