"neonatal intensive care unit/ high & low dependency"

Our baby was transferred from special care baby unit to Exeter intensive care unit. He was a week old. The staff were out of this world and allowed us to stay with him all the time. The hospital had a parent room so we could stay there and the support we got from them both actual for our boy and emotional was amazing and we will be forever grateful for what they did and will never forget. The staff at torbay were excellent but unable to support his needs as they felt he may need to be ventilated. all doctors and nurses and hcas involved in his care were excellent and we never doubted anyones attention was 100% focused on our son. He was diagnosed and we were able to go home after a couple of long weeks. the facilities were spotless . He is 16 months old now and i still think about the ward everyday and how things could have ended very differently. So for a women who dreamt of being  a mum for 10 years thank you for making that a reality x
