About: Belle Vale Health Centre

67 times I called this morning between 8am and 820 to be told when getting through there are no appointments left for after school for my daughter. When I complained to the receptionist I was offered the option to attend extended access at another surgery which is further away from my home and my daughters medical records will not be available when she is seen. Just where is the continuity of care?? This service is appalling. I never go to the practice only when me or my children are really sick. I feel for the elderly or vulnerable patients who are really suffering as it’s almost impossible to get through to the practice and when you do there are never any appointments and you are told to call back the next day.

Thank you for your comments. This morning we had 6 receptionists answering the phones and taking calls, the maximum our system allows. When your call was answered, you were offered a number of vacant appointments, the latest of which was 3.50. As none of the available appointments was suitable for you, we offered you an appointment with Extended Services. If I can be of any further help, please contact me. Regards, Dave Davenport, Manager
