"Massive queue for car parks"

About: East Surrey Hospital

(as a service user),

Arrived in good time to park and book-in only to find massive queue for car parks both of which were completely full. Had to turn round (difficult as one way), go back home and get wife to run me/drop me off. Eventually arrived for appointment 15 mins late.

This is not the first time difficult to park, happens often. That's 'Outstanding' for you.

Dear Frustrated from Horley

I am sorry that you had the problems that you describe above.

Unfortunately at the present time demand on our services is such that our car parks simply can't cope with the volume of cars. We have increased spaces by 15% in recent years but we clearly need to do more.

As a result of these problems we are currently working up plans for how we can increase supply.

I appreciate it is very frustrating but posts such as yours really do help with ensuring that we address this issue.
