"Not putting the patient first"

About: Brand Street Resource Centre

(as a service user),

Let down by trauma service, Anchor at Brand Street

I went to my appointment one Friday and it was closed , I couldn’t get anyone on the phone and there  was no sign up on the door to say what was happening. I spoke to someone from the CMHT at Brand Street and thank god for them as I started to panic but they were helpful and reassuring .

I found out later that there had been a gas leak in the morning but it was safe to return to the units around 11 am but Anchor staff had been sent home , cheeky day off. Another NHS day lost and Anchor can’t afford to be unofficially closed with their waiting lists. Get assessed  quick but then go on a list for over 12 months waiting for treatment. Last Christmas they closed for  2 weeks, what will happen this year

Dear Yuruselim

I am sorry to read about the difficulties you have been experiencing with the Trauma Service. I am glad that you managed to speak to someone who was able to reassure you.

I have shared your post with the Service Manager who is responsible for Brand Street and have asked for a response.

Kind Regards

Nicole
