Rang everyday for 5 days to get an appointment for my sick child. Started calling at 8am and rang over 200 times and got nothing but an engaged tone. On the 5th day I finally got through and was told that I had to bring me child in for a sit and wait from 11 as there were no appointments available. I pushed back as my child is doing GCSEs and I did not want to take time out from school and have them catch up on the lesson after. I found the person dealing with me lacked empathy. The person who took my call was adamant that if it was not a medical emergency that I should not bother booking appointment. I finally got booked on to a sit and wait from 4pm. We got seen within 20 mins which was great, and my child had a chest infection. I am glad I persevered and went to the GP and sat and waited. My Child needed antibiotics Which I wish I could inform the lady took my call because the condition could worsen. I understand that Woosehill surgery is stretched and I also understand that the staff are doing their best with the current resources. Not been able to get an appointment for five days is somewhat worrying. Based on that I would not recommenwhich I wish I could inform the lady took my call because the condition could’ve worsened.
