"Blocked arteries"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I have been waiting for someone to act on a condition I have ( three blocked arteries). for over three years now I have seen and spoke to many doctors in the nhs. most were happy to tell me there was nothing seriously wrong with me. only when I pushed and insisted to see a cardiologist did I eventually found out my condition. Yesterday I saw a cardiologist in Canterbury hospital. Within 30 min I was seen, put on the right medication and booked in for surgery. I can now sleep knowing there is hope for me not to fall asleep and not wake up one day soon..pressure off me .. Never had to use the nhs before, but I became a fast learner and sI have been waiting for someone to act on a condition I have ( three blocked arteries). for over three years now I have seen and spoke to many doctors in the nhs. most were happy to tell me there was nothing seriously wrong with me. only when I pushed and insisted to see a cardiologist did I eventually found out my condition. Thank you for contacting us regarding your treatment under Cardiology. We are sorry for the delays you have experienced. If you want to take this forward, we would advise you to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01227 783145 or email ekh-tr.pals@nhs.net . Alternatively, go online to www.ekhuft.nhs.uk and click the relevant 'C' to complete the form and this will then be sent to PALS to take forward.
