"All staff were extremely caring"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I was very nervous about the procedure. All staff were extremely caring and attentive, Nicola on the ward was wonderful, and all the staff in the theatre put me at ease with their kindness and sense of humour. More importantly the clinical care I received was brilliant and professional. I felt very safe in their hands. I must also add that the tea and toast following was fantastic and much appreciated. Thank you all.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Thank you so much for taking time to share this with us. I am so glad your procedure and care went well and you felt safe.

This is such a lovely accolade to staff who cared for you and I am sure it will make their day. It is good to share how important the 'smaller things are. Personally, I think you just can't beat a cup of tea and a slice of toast in most circumstances.
