When I received my letter to say I needed a Lletz procedure I was absolutely terrified! Thankfully I didn’t have long to wait for the appointment. Having been to Ward 1B for my Colposcopy previously I knew I’d be in safe hands again. Dr Rao conducted the procedure and she was very informative prior to the procedure, also telling me that I could ask for it to be stopped if necessary. I was also in the wonderful care of Tracy and Val. These women were fantastic in calming my nerves, talking to me throughout and explaining what was going on as I lay in the chair. They were so supportive and took care of me, especially when I came over dizzy after the procedure had finished. I really couldn’t thank them enough! Attending this appointment was so important and my personal experience has made encourage my friends to attend their (some overdue) smear test appointments. Thankyou again to the amazing colposcopy team at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston for looking after me.

Thank you so much for your positive comments regarding Pilgrim Hospital and our colposcopy service. In all our colposcopy services, we realise it can be a very worrying time for women receiving an abnormal result and attending the colposcopy clinic.

All our staff pride themselves on delivering a high standard of care, attending to each individuals needs. It is lovely to hear that you were welcomed, cared for and could relax as much as possible with friendly, professional, informative staff. I am glad we were able to give you the utmost support in this "scary experience".

Please be assured your comments will be shared with the whole team and especially Tracy and Val. Thank you once again for your feedback, it is very much appreciated.
