"Brilliant Nutrition Team"

The complex nutrition team are brilliant. They treat you like a whole person rather than just a collection of symptoms, taking personal and work circumstances into account when discussing treatment plans. They always discussed the options with me and made me feel part of the decision process which really helped to me tolerate and understand why some of the less pleasant procedures were necessary. That being said, they went out of their way to make everything as painless, and quick as possible. Their teamwork is also fantastic and the Complex Nutrition clinic appointments are attended by a dietician, the consultant & the specialist nutrition nurse involved in delivering the agreed treatment plans, so everyone (including the patient) leaves on the same page. The specialist nutrition nurse, Vicky, is absolutely brilliant - she makes herself available to patients and encourages her patients to contact her if they have any problems or questions. Vicky made a horrible few months much easier and less scary for me.
