About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

From the lady on the reception to all of the nursing team who dealt with my son last night - brilliant. Thank you. Thanks especially to the nurse practitioner who gave great advice and calmed a worried mam (PE on lungs). You were caring, knowledgeable and put everything into perspective. I know how hard you all work and how thankless your task must feel at times - but you are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Dear Ms,

Firstly, and most importantly, I do hope that your son is now on the mend? I know how frightening it can be when your children are unwell, so I am pleased you were able to find the care and reassurance that you needed from us. I can fully appreciate why you were so worried.

Thank you very much for sharing your story with us. It enables us to thank the team and let them know how much they are appreciated. I would also like to ensure that the nurse practitioner you mention receives your lovely feedback. The anonymous nature makes it difficult for us to ensure that this happens. Please could you email us privately at patient.experience@nhct.nhs.uk with the date and time of your sons arrival into hospital. This will help us to reach the right person.

With all best wishes to you and your son,

Annie
