"How I was treated as a patient"

About: Grantham & District Hospital

(as the patient),

I went to my appointment which I am always early for, I sat there waiting but wasn’t called in until very late. I was put in the room where I could hear the doctor and other people laughing and having a good time, I was a good 20 to 30 after being in the room before the doctor opened the door, who said to me sorry about that we were just catching up. I was really annoyed.

It’s unprofessional and bad manners to do that.

Dear Chihuahua4

I am sorry that you had a negative experience during you recent outpatient visit. I will discuss your concerns with regards to the staff behaviour and the delay that you incurred with the outpatient team, although this will not help with the experience you had, it will improve future experience for all patients.

I would be most grateful if you could also let me know which of the clinics your attended so I can then speak to the staff on duty that day. I can be contacted via patient.experience@ulh.nhs.uk

Yours sincerely

Anne-Marie Chappell
