"Ongoing care, treatment and opinion of Wotton Vale"

I have had a few minor issues with the surgery however have never had a really bad experience. I have read the reviews and clearly many people are unhappy with the service and the way they are treated. I find this really surprising as I have never experienced rudeness, lack of concern for my situation, poor advice or inability to speak to someone. I acknowledge that you cannot always get a routine appointment when you would want however this I believe is a national problem and not just a problem for Wootton vale. The increase in population in the area due to new builds must be putting the surgery under huge pressure. Of course we all want to be seen as and when we want however we do not know what problems the surgery is having in raising funds to be able to take on new doctors / staff to be able to cope with the increase. I do not approve of rudeness or poor service and would be the first to complain if that was the case however I have always been spoken to politely, with respect and a desire to assist me. Today I was having trouble getting a repeat prescription and this was not the first time. However after speaking to a member of staff i gained a full understanding of the problem and it is all to do with trying to introduce a new system which will in the long term help the patients and take some pressure of the surgery. I am not happy with the problem I am facing however except that these things happen when trying to introduce new practices. The staff member was ultra polite and went out of her way to solve my problem. The doctors have always been understanding, supportive and have always tried to resolve my problem or refer me to someone who will. I am far from the easiest person to please but I am very happy with Wootton vale and as someone who has been a patient of a number of surgeries can assure you that Wootton Vale is trying their best to support us all. In my opinion if people are genuinely trying to help we cannot ask for more.
