"Wonderful support"

Thank you to everyone of you in the inpatient unit from the doctors, nurses, social workers, complementary therapy, physiotherapists, housekeeping and kitchen staff .

Thank you to the volunteers and the gardening staff .

You have all made a difference to the care my dad received when he was in St Lukes . Everyone we met in the unit showed our dad compassion, dignity. Dad received the best care ever .

As a family we were given wonderful support at such an uncertain and stressful time for the family.

 The whole team in the inpatient unit at St  Lukes have looked after us all  We have had laughter and tears during this journey, but we were always provided with reassurance and a smile. You can cry at St Lukes and somebody is there to give you a hug and a cup of tea.

You feel safe and reassured that you are in safe and caring hands.

The founder of the hospice Dame Cicsley Saunders  says “You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all we can not only help you die peacefully, but live until you die.”
