About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre / Ward B5

(as a service user),

I have recently spent nearly 3 weeks in ward B5 due to complications of radiotherapy. I cannot thank the staff enough as their care and team spirit is second to none. At a time when I was extremely vulnerable and emotional each member of staff helped to lift my spirits and offer reassurance to get me through my final 2 weeks of treatment. From the domestic/ housekeeping staff to the senior charge nurse I cannot thank you all enough. This team has restored my faith in our NHS and my consultant Dr Sadozye is one of the kindest people I have ever met, always happy to take time to answer any questions and provide reassurance. I salute you all and you are without a doubt my top team, thank you.

Dear gratefulme,

I was sorry to read of the difficult time you have had with radiotherapy complications and appreciate what a difficult time this must have been for you. I am grateful that you have taken the time to provide such kind feedback considering the challenges you have had.

I was delighted to hear that ward B5 team supported you throughout this time and I know the SCN and the team work hard to ensure high standards of person centred care for all patients. They will be delighted to receive this praise as will Dr Sadozye and I will add my appreciation to them also.
