"We will never find out what is causing my mother's pain"

About: Renal (Kidney) Medicine & Dialysis

(as a carer),

Yet again I tried to get to the bottom of my mother's abdominal pain and asked for a CT scan of that area, and was refused again. The doctor said, but her kidney's would suffer with the ink they put inside you. My mother has better kidney's as me!

So, I've come to the conclusion we will never find out what is causing my mother's extreme abdominal pain.

I think the doctors are giving worse care because of her age.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

I have been asked to post this on behalf of the Clinical Nurse Manager

"I am sorry, unfortunately we are unable to address the specific issues raised and advise you that you will need to discuss your concerns with your mum's GP"

kind regards,

Eunice
