The service at the Porterbrook clinic is excellent however waiting times for help and consultation appointments are long due to gross staff shortages basically they need far more trained staff and clerical staff. I have been treated with total respect and courtesy at all times by all staff they are all amazing xx Definitely 100/100 I’m well into my transition now and only need my second opinion appointment outside the clinic then i'll be referred for gender confirmation surgery so I would love to thank all the staff for all their support kindness and exceptional knowledge xxx.

I appreciate that there are long waits and recognise that this can be very difficult for individuals. We are hopeful that work currently being undertaken by NHS England, in collaboration with current providers, will result in transformational change to gender clinics of the future.
