(as a service user),

The service at the Porterbrook clinic is excellent however waiting times for help and consultation appointments are long due to gross staff shortages basically they need far more trained staff and clerical staff. I have been treated with total respect and courtesy at all times by all staff they are all amazing xx Definitely 100/100 I’m well into my transition now and only need my second opinion appointment outside the clinic then i'll be referred for gender confirmation surgery so I would love to thank all the staff for all their support kindness and exceptional knowledge xxx.

Thank you for your recent review of our service. It is really helpful and encouraging to hear that your experiences have been positive and you have felt treated with respect and kindness. I will ensure that your positive feedback is shared with my colleagues in the clinic. I know they will be pleased to hear it.

I appreciate that there are long waits and recognise that this can be very difficult for individuals. We are hopeful that work currently being undertaken by NHS England, in collaboration with current providers, will result in transformational change to gender clinics of the future.
