My husband has an irregular heartbeat and the meditation doesn’t seem to be working as he has over the last several months had episodes of irregular heartbeat and breathlessness to the point that he can’t sleep. Yet again today he has phoned the surgery to get an appointment only to be told that that there are none available. An irregular heartbeat can be fatal, it can cause a stroke or heart failure. What is he supposed to do? Wait until that happens to be seen as an emergency?

Thank you for leaving your feedback on the NHS Website. Sorry that you experience at the surgery has not been a great one. I can confirm that our waiting time has been reduced from 6 weeks to 2 weeks. If you wish to contact the surgery I can look into this complaint further and ascertain why this happened. Many thanks
