"Not what I call fit"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

One day early Nov 2018 my husband woke up 11 pm wanting to pass water, but unable to do so, he passed a lot of blood. I phoned for ambulance, and in A+E put a catheter in, which for a while worked. My husband was getting a lot of U.T.Is, the community nurses was chasing urology, to replace or to take out the catheter because he had it inside for 4 1/2 months, my husbands was becoming ill getting boiling hot + getting very cold, I phoned up Pilgrim Hospital to get urgent appointment with urology, we waited 4 days, then we took him in March.2019.

My husband was pouring with sweat, the old catheter was removed + a new one put in but 1/2 hr after that, he had obsent T.IA. We told the nurses from urology to get the resus team team out + they did, by that time he started to get very very cold. I covered him with his coat

One of the doctors asked me why he is so cold. I asked the doctor if they checked the thickness of his blood + test for infection in his urine. They said they did but they never. + sent my husband home, he got worse + I sent for ambulance again - this time it was confirmed my husband has sepsis which caused a blood clot on his brain, he had a major stroke + unable to move much down his left side.

I believe this doctor should have spotted sepsis + if it had have been treated my husband would not have had the stroke or it could had not been so bad, when my husband was admitted 2nd time  in March 2019, The same doctor put a DNAR on my husband saying he was fit. My daughter + myself questioned + the doctor said just go away + leave them alone.

My husband is a strong man (Yes fit to drop) the same day my husband was sent home with a D.N.A.R on him like when he was sent home according to this doctor fit, with sepsis, he had a stroke not what I call fit.
