"Making funny, googly eye glasses"

About: Borders General Hospital / Paediatrics (Ward 15)

(as a parent/guardian),

Following a number of trips to the BGH, my 12 year old daughter was admitted to the ward, where we both stayed for a couple of nights while the staff worked their way diligently through a number of processes to get to the bottom of the problem.

From the start of our stay, right to the end and beyond, the staff could not have been more helpful.  They really put my daughter at her ease and made me up a little camp bed straight away.

From distracting her when she wa having bloods taken, to making funny, googly eye glasses and keeping her occupied with crafts (thank you Tracy!!) she was actually quite sad to leave.

The care was kind and thorough, and even after discharge, the Dr called me (as promised) to check how my daughter was and if there was anything more we needed.

Thank you so very much to you all
