My niece recently had an abortion at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. This was a private appointment so she expected, as the website says a 'Personal service in a
calm relaxing atmosphere'. The doctor was lovely but it certainly wasn't in a calm relaxing atmosphere. My niece was so upset at having to walk through the antenatal clinic area for her appointment and then she had to sit in a waiting area where there was a crying child waiting with their mother. Clearly there were other services being undertaken that day in the Gynaecology area. So insensitive to offer such a service in an area where there are women attending their pregnancy appointments. Come on Chelsea Hospital, sort this out for all the other women who pay privately, expecting a calm and relaxing atmosphere. For over £500 surely the hospital can provide a more sensitive and calming area and not make women, who have made a difficult decision to have an abortion, walk through an antenatal area.
