I would like to thank and recommend the Mayhill Day Surgery Unit. After surgery for a fracture that required a plate and pins I was transferred to this unit. Due to Mental Health problems I as not coping well after surgery. I do not like being confined, touched or around too many people. Also extreme stress/tension makes me seize up so that all my body hurts. The wonderful Sister in charge doubled up the bay I was in, brought in fans to cool me down (I was tachycardic due to panic attack and feeling hot) and realised that I needed to be discharged as quickly/efficiently as possible as I would be able to calm down once I was in my own environment at home. I have been in hospital before for non mental health problems and this was the first time that someone had an understanding of what I was going through. I am so grateful - thank you so much. x
